
Alan advises clients on communications for proxy fights, M&A, disclosure, investor relations, media relations, labour relations, bankruptcy and other issues. He has worked with large and small companies across the industrial spectrum.
Alan joined Longview Communications in 2003 and has practiced investor and public relations since 1995. Before that, he was the Vancouver bureau chief of the Wall Street Journal in the 1980s and of the Financial Times of Canada through the mid-90s. He has won a Webster Award for excellence in business journalism.
As part of the Public Companies program at Simon Fraser University’s downtown Vancouver campus, Alan offers seminars for managers and professionals on best practices in investor relations. Alan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University (1975).
